They fit some archetypes that Karkat and Nepeta share. Moxxie (the right demon guy) is an angry little guy who is often shit on by almost everyone else except his wife Millie (left demon). Millie is very supportive and protective of Moxxie though she isn't afraid to throw down with someone else if they push the envelope and insult him too badly. Millie isn't as much of a wallflower as Nepeta is though, but she's approximately what I'd expect her to be if she were a little more assertive.
