And since I figure I should post something, here's the first thing I thought of. Or I guess remembered, because I wasn't really looking to make anything new. It being designs for a kid-swap or blood-swap or whatever you call it. The ol' switcheroo, based on their personalities.



I suppose it's not TOO on-topic, but I figure it might be a good segue for like, AU grimdorks or something. I dunno. I can't think of much else to share, and this is the best I got.

AU Grimdorks is fun! I once read an AU where Rose was a witch whose familiar was a little rabbit and John wasthe rabbit. It was a neat kind of fairy tale story like those Animal Bride tales.

there are a lot of grimdorks fanfics that are just way too good desu. shame they are all old

I haven't actually read too much fanfiction. I remember once going through a list that ellinor/wunderschiesse made but nothing really struck me as super good. Or at least I don't remember loving any of 'em all that much. Could be I'm just a fanfiction snob, though. Thooouuugghh, if anyone has any recommendations that'd be good to hear, I think.

grimdorks is the ship that got me into hetshipping...i love the easy-going snark between these two.

That was truly one of the best parts of Homestuck in comparison to other Youthful Adventure series out there. John and Rose had a chemistry together that didn't rely or lean on them both being of disparate gender. They were friends who knew each other so well, and didn't take each others' shit, and clearly cared deeply about one another.

they sure are the funniest ones to read, that's for sure.

JohnRose is the best and that's all there really is to say on the matter.

I just found this thread, those boner comics had me laughing out loud. Like, in the real world.

Oh I didn't even know we had a grimdorks thread! It's like my OTP, I've seen some of these arts before and I'm very glad to have seen them again! I find that true grimdork content can be hard to find now days :0
