You don't need a reason to ship. As Andrew Hussie horrifyingly realized early on in his career, if two characters exist and even look at each other, they can be shipped.

I think they'd work well together and I find it extremely cute. I know in the comics Davepetasprite is kind of used as a way to just force Jade to forget everything that happened on the trip, but I try to look past that. As with a lot of characters that kind of get used or cut a raw deal in the comic.
They even kiss in the comic so it's not like it comes from nowhere! (

It kind of fills a spot that Jade and Dave has together for me but at the same time introducing a character who I think fits Jade's personality better.

yeah that's completely fair, to be honest a lot of what happened in act 6 escapes me. they are pretty cute

I've found that a lot of Act 6 escaped people, it's a shame and I understand why, but it makes people miss moments and characters like Davepeta.

There's a lot of people who haven't read through all of Act 6, or it escaped them at some point, and as Davepeta appeared later on in Act 6 that makes sense.
Literally the real spark for this ship happened after the 8000 page mark, so it's understandable.

yeah and unfortunately that's the end of the last part of homestuck before collide. davepeta gets basically no screentime :(

i have read through act 6, but its been awhile and i don't really remember much about davepeta so i am sorry for that.
