The furs in her cave are black, implying they're not lusus, but rather some other form of Alternian fauna. I know a few of those get mentioned, like hoofbeasts and cholerbears, though there's no confirmation either way. What she uses to paint is candy red, so it can't be troll blood or lusus-of-a-troll blood. Might be an inconsistency of early Hivebent. If she's indeed a murderer it's kind of ambiguous at best.
