Oh! I think that's just John and Aradia, with John in a different outfit for variety's sake. There are lots of alt outfits in there, just not many so different from the default.

Actually it's John dressed up as Indiana Jones. It's from a fic I like and it's where I began shipping Johnradia.

I was actually the one who designed that shirt! And yeah, it was really annoying having to deal with petty fans who lobbied to remove it based on copyright infringement of all things, or otherwise shat on it in the comments section :,/

Wow! It's kind of shocking to see so many people talk about grimdorks/John and Rose. I guess it's not as rare a pair as I imagined. They *did* have an excellent dynamic, after all.

It's way less an uncommon ship that people think. You can see that from the fact that people keep shittalking it in places less welcome, not even aware that they're only feeding the flame.

JohnRose is only really a rarepair when compared to the juggernaut of a shit that is Rosemary, and Rosemary’s shippers being very aggressive and immature about JohnRose existing. Most Grimdorks shippers appear to be chill about other ships existing, but Rosemary shippers on Tumblr and Twitter can get really nasty, passive aggressive, and downright vindictive about grimdorks even existing.

Their dynamic is beautiful and they had so much genuine affection for one another. It’s really a shame the ship gets shat upon so much.

I think the first beta ships ride the not so rare/rare pair line very harshly some times so:

Although I can't say I ever shipped it myself I think that the entire time the fandom went through the kayana<>karkat ship for years was both incredibly cute, and also funny for reasons I won't explain ever.

I've never seen anyone ship it but I think Damara X Jade makes a lot of sense!! They are two witches!! Time and space!! They should kiss!!

Roxy and Jade would be such a power couple. Dave and John probably would've been a really cute couple, even if John isn't attracted to men. I also think that Nepeta and June would really click with one another at some point if they could ever meet.

Also you could pair Aradia up with anyone and as long as they get over her obsession with death then she sounds really really fun to be with and i don't doubt that a bunch of characters would work well when paired with her. Although maybe that just the part of my brain that appreciates Aradia.

DadKat. I have all kinds of internal headcanons for why this could be a really fun ship (especially when you bring aftermath into the equation and start visualizing how John would react to all this when he found out). Almost all of them are set to some version of "Stacy's Mom" but instead it's "Johnny's Dad," which lends itself exceedingly well to ideas of Karkat watching John's lusus mowing the lawn on a hot summer's day and having an "oh no he's hot" realization.

I'd also throw DirkKat and BroKat out there, but at this point it's obvious that I just have a thing for Karkat exploring human genitals with older men.
