first off he has shown attraction to many of the young girls of Homestuck, especially rose, as disgusting as that may sound.

also doc scratch and caliborn are pretty much polar opposites. Caliborn always tries to do the impossible and is unable to except facts, while Doc Scratch always does exactly what he does when he does it, and he knows when resistance is futile.
