in rainbows is their GOAT imo, but kid a/okc/in rainbows is the holy trinity desu
i had the ok computer leaks saved on my other laptop (the one i used at my dad's before i moved into my mom's, i have it but it's sitting in a laptop bag, and i'm reserving it as a backup if the laptop that i've been using at my mom's house since 2013 goes kaput), but god damn that minidisc 15 version of lift is so good
also people be sleeping on TKOL too, separator is one of radiohead's best songs

Imagine rating any album with Daydreaming that low. Imagine never having felt the feelings of a sad song from a sad album from a man who just lost his wife. Yes I am a FUCKING Moon Shaped Pool Stan lmao

y'all are going to have my head on a stick for this but:
1. In Rainbows
2. Kid A
3. OK Computer
4. Amnesiac
5. The King Of Limbs
6. The Bends
7. Hail To The Thief
8. A Moon Shaped Pool
9. Pablo Honey
like! don't get me wrong, all of radiohead's albums are very, very solid imo--and are great albums, but idk chief like, some shit just doesn't stick with me like AMSP. pablo honey is a very fun and solid 90's grunge/alternative rock album, but it doesn't hold a candle to the rest of radiohead's work--but that doesn't mean it's bad at all
hail to the thief has one of my favorite songs and some really solid stuff on it (where i end and you begin, babey!), but it also has alot of very forgettable and weak songs on it (we suck young blood, and scatterbrain for example), i made the comparison to one of my friends but hail to the thief is the act 6 of radiohead
the bends imo is more consistent then HTTT but still has it's weak moments (high & dry, bulletproof), but it's still on the same tier as HTTT--which is admittedly a high tier
TKOL is an album y'all sleep on, i think it's a bit of an unpolished gem and the mixing on some of the songs are wonky (bloom and feral especially), but the songs themselves aren't bad at all, see the live from the basement version of them. it's just the mixing and production that's a bit wonky. but then again i am a sucker for electronic music sooo
amnesiac is also pretty solid in it's own, fractured way, and has a very palpable menacing atmosphere to it (dollars & cents especially, that song makes me feel like i'm hanging over a vat of acid in a good way). also pull/pulk revolving doors is a good song despite it being Like That
i don't think i have to explain in rainbows/ok computer/kid a desu but in rainbows is a very finely cut album and v pretty

Amnesiac and TKOL are both albums full of just half-finished tracks that sound like they'd have potential if they were more than B-side material
I don't think this is that hot a take desu

fun fact: Thom Yorke nearly died twice during that performance: first, when he jumped into the pool, his boots filled with water and became heavy and he almost drowned, and second, when he was getting out of the pool he nearly touched the microphone cable, which considering he was wet would have probably shocked him to death, but an MTV intern pulled the microphone away before he could

dude i was about to bring up that fact, you can see it in the video too--iirc didn't the band also had to play creep like, 7 times in a row because MTV only had one camera, and they wanted to do a fake multicam performance made from the multiple creep performances

The early 90s-Pablo Honey-MTV phase of Radiohead were the weirdest. thing. ever.
