Granted. As you swim through land, you are a lot more likely to fall sick as you're constantly touching dirt and all it contains. This does not go well if your ability to sicken others.

Granted. They are married for 30 years, but have a messy divorce after Karkat has an affair with Nepeta. And of course, troll divorces are dealt with via duel. There are no weapons or clothes allowed. It's pure naked troll-on-troll fisticuffs. Karkat dies first, with Eridan sustaining a few good injuries. Eridan returns to his ship to heal, but in the middle of the night Nepeta pounces on him, killing him to avenge her lover.
