MSPAF Memory Lane - "A thread to reminisce what was lost"

Post by Nep » Wed Nov 13, 2019 12:41 pm

In this thread we're gonna discuss about stuff that was in the MSPA Forums and post some stuff people might remember. Mostly wayback machine links and pictures of old stuff are allowed.

Old stuff like fanventures can also be discussed here like Guidestuck.

But right now I remembered this.

The guy released the assets a while back in tumblr, but I still think it's a worthwhile look tosee the old thread and maybe a bit of the progress.

I remember the beauty of the fangames and fanventures in the forums. Be the Seadweller Lowblood was really cool, even if I have regrets regarding my behavior at the time lol

I haven't been around for the forums but I heard a lot about them.

They were a fucking goldmine of content.

Let's pour one out for all things lost.
The world is vast and full and wonders, no matter what they tell you.

Reminiscing on all the really off beat theories from early homestuck threads that I was going through and archiving but the forums went down in the middle of me doing that.

I've spent a lot of time trawling through archives of the mspa forum, and ive really gotten a lot of second-hand nostalgia from looking at it. I really like forums, my first online community was a forum, and I'm glad this forum exists now. It's a bit odd that this place would be more active than Omegaupdate, but perhaps a fresh start just feels nicer to people.
Also its fun to consider how many forums have been created in the wake of original MSPA Forums over the years
-Pokemon Quarantine
-Hidden Level
-MSPAFA Discussion
-ChocolatePi
-Hivestuck
-Eagle Time
-Omegaupdate
And now this forum.

I remember the roleplays. That's a lot of good writing and good characters that were lost, but I think some people are probably happy, since that's also a LOT of bad childhood memories gone in a snap of a finger.

I remember all the roleplay everyone did on MSPARP.

I'm sure a lot of it has been archived by a dedicated
individual.

As a user of MSPARP (now renamed MxRP), there is iirc an archive of older chats from before the site's revamp in 2015/early 2016, but they are only accessible via url @ unsupported.msparp.com. If not, then they are still up and usable today if not privatised by the chat owner.
im make FANTROLL (singular) and also roleplay on the internet

check out my tunes
