There's a lot of people who haven't read through all of Act 6, or it escaped them at some point, and as Davepeta appeared later on in Act 6 that makes sense.

Literally the real spark for this ship happened after the 8000 page mark, so it's understandable.

Seems like Valve's unwilling to make HL3 but still wants to cash in on VR and set a game out.
