I've recently become a fan of the McElroy podcasts and I'm looking for other stuff.
Any Ideas?

As an Australian I am contractually obliged to recommend the Hamish and Andy podcast
Their main thing is flying in fans who claim to be able to perform incredible feats of strength and giving them their own form of cryptocurrency if they can prove it

The Hamish and Andy Analog Coin

I gotta recommend Let Me Tell You About (LMTYA), featuring Tad "Homestuck" Becker and his co-host Aleks. Most of their podcasts are just them goofing around, talking about different video games, life stories, how homestuck has ruined Tad's life and other "nerdy" things. They also have a DnD podcast called "Revival", and Tad's cousin(i think) has a movie review show on YT called "Malevolent movies"

the relentless picnic is the only podcast that makes complete sense to me. it's more human and caring and perceptive than anything else i've heard. it's the Great American Podcast. it's the ultimate form of Three Guys Talking About Things: i have no idea who they are, what they do, and yet their conversations reach into every corner of life - society, politics, art, weird internet wormholes - and i feel like it's made me better at the art of conversation in turn. (this probably says it better than i can??)

if the lofty description threw you off, rest assured it IS also really fucking funny >:D my favourite episode MIGHT be No World (because wooo space!) but they're all amazing!

I'm a big fan of Mission To Zyxx. It's one part sci-fi serial, one part improv comedy. You've probably heard some ads, if you listen to McElroy content.

I like My Dad Wrote a Porno, some friends hooked me to it recently. Basically the dad of one of the hosts wrote shitty erotica now that he's old and retired and the three hosts just read one chapter per episode and discuss it. It's got everything -- poor choice in positions, weird wording, crazy kinks described not at all sexily, and lots of chardonnay. It's cheesy and funny and if you're into british humor I think you'd like it a lot

I'd recommend Dylan Marron's Conversations With People Who Hate Me to anyone who's gotten into an argument online, especially anyone with an interest in activism. He starts off talking with people who've left him hate comments, and later on in the podcast starts meditating conversations between other people and their pseudoanonymous hate commenters. Dylan Marron is an incredibly patient host and listening to these discussions has helped me rethink how I approach online conversations in general.

It can be a heavy listen, and some episodes are really, really frustrating to sit through, but I think it's an important podcast.

Welcome to Night Vale is a must for people who want to start listening to podcasts. It's a twice-monthly podcast in the format of community updates (local radio station style) about the town of Night Vale, Arizona, where "every single conspiracy theory is true". (that means angels, ghosts, and all sorts of crazy creatures!)

I'll definitely check out some of these other recommendations, too :)

All of those are videogame related because I'm a loser with no other interests.

Castle Super Beast is a trainwreck by Woolie and Pat from the "Super Best Friends Play" youtube channel. They basically talk about news and what they did for 3 Hours while going on insane tangents for minutes on end.Woolie starts talking in "fighting game linguage" and Pat talks about how great FFXIV is while TRYING to talk about recent events or news, and it's a fucking shitshow of the highest caliber.
The Official Podcast is hosted by Jackson, Andrew, Charlie and Kaya (JACK-OFF) and they talk about whatever have been the latest topics in the Videogame/Film mediaspace or whatever, I like it because they're stupid.
The Gigaboots podcasts are the podcasts made by the gigaboots channel, there are various "types" they do: the Spoilercast, which is basically a massive review of whatever they played; The cursed content club where they review some absolute abomination they recently watched; The armchair devs where they pretend they're "ideas guys" and compete on who can make a good new proposal for a new entry in a dead series(at some point someone suggests a Senran Kagura cross over with the Tenchu series, it's absolute bonkers); Gamer Premonitions, where they """"predict"""" some things about new hyped stuff; and finally, The Big Think Dimension, which is their general podcast that is shorter than castle super beast but just as bad.
And at last, the Dude Soup Podcast, which is the crew from Funhaus talking about news and etc. it's very light and comfy, nothing too dumb, and they keep it simple.

I know what you're thinking, "All of these sound terrible", and they are. I love them and I lose my fucking shit laughing at those guys, I look like a fucking insane psycho at the gym or when playing some games but it's all worth it.
