Anyone remember an adventure from the old forum where the characters were living toast? There were magic crowns, burnt toast people living underground, the main character was royalty because he knew how to toast himself without getting burnt... I distinctly remember absolutely loving that one, but I can't remember what it's called and I have no idea if it survived the death of MSPAF.

what I've found is that the best thing to do is to leave them there as hints, like only include things in the background that you want people to interact with and people will interact with them! it's part of the artform to try and play to your audience in a way that they respond in an engaging way!

might as well try it out right? nothing to lose really

mspfa is the best, the best thing hussie did was invent a new form of comic so we can all participate and make our own.

I recently read all the VOID adventures (which would be ...A VOID, ...A VOID 2 and ItaliCuest), and i must say they're really quite something. It's kinda hard to explain what that something is, but I'm enjoying them a lot, not just because of their own merits, but because there is something so very classicly MSPA-Forum-Adventure-y about them, with just how absurd and bizarre they are, yet at the same time telling coherent narrative with understandable characters and emotions. I have no absolutely no idea where the story is going to go, but I'm looking forward to it anyway, and that's a feeling I've only really ever gotten from stories of this form.

Woops I didn't mean to turn this thread into the shill thread. But if that's what we're doing, my current favs are:

The Voids are really cool albeit hard to explain.
Monochrome has good art and gnomes looks promising and is being updated at the speed of anxiety.
Cardboy, which was initially conceived as a personal hit piece against me and I'm too self centered to be convinced otherwise.
Brynjolf which is high art, very classy, very tasteful.
Not Homestuck is the only good homestuck-based adventure, because it's a wholesome AU that actually accepts commands and isn't just masturbatory self insert power fantasy.

And of course there is the number one hit webcomic ROBOQUEST featuring a diverse cast of lovable characters engaging in an interesting, albeit low stakes mission in outer space.
