Re: CRACK THEORIES! GO!
lusus session for the government lore worldbuilding bonus: trying to come up for ideas for how viceroy bubbles "casey" von salamancer lived as long as they did. consorts realize that the key to living longer is to become subservient to/named by a Player race (such as trolls or humans), so a majority...

Re: What's the deal with Davesprite's watermarks?
Aight I can dig it. And I figured as much I was just hoping for some deeper meaning. That whole scene in John's driveway reads to me like I'm missing some sort of big clue or hint. The watermarks in the backgrounds aren't literally there and are just kind of superimposed on the scene as a joke for ...

Re: Worst Character?
I've recently decided that any iteration of Jake, whether English or Harley, is my least favorite character by a gabillion miles. He was born a murderer.

Re: Some Theores about Narrators and Cherubs from Hussie's current commentary stuff
I think Aranea is terribly mistaken when she calls the green cherubs benevolent and the red cherubs malevolent. I think green cherubs are cancerous, but red cherubs are more like viruses, or maybe just death. TT: But in the process of killing him and you, I release your master, who is just as deadly...

Re: THE DIRKCOURSE THREAD
I kind of wonder if there's some sort of meta-narration thing that makes Dirk act more babyish and stupid than he used to. If he's a Doc Scratch splinter, where's the finesse?

In Roxy's route, the Reader is called a person. In John's route, he claims the Reader isn't a person. He also seems to be aware of the Reader's powers even though he's supposed to have only learned about them in a bad ending.

june egbert sadstuck moments: people assuming she's okay Remember when John said that he wasn't being abused? This John hasn't seen the drawings on the wall, the self-hatred that plagues his mind. https://www.homestuck.com/story/860 All of those blocks in the 8x8 grid there are numbered correctly, which as I recall was fairly painstaking. There are exactly 10,000 tiny squares there (each represents a green power cube), but each block is 12x12, and the vertical/horizontal paths of 4 squares wi...

Re: BONUS UPDATE. A Treatise on Representational Democracy
You know how Consorts have short lifespans? That means they have to breed frequently to keep their population stable. Maybe they go to war and win simply because they have greater numbers.
Plus, if the Viceroy is there (idk if they are or not), fallen soldiers mean more skeletons to draft.

I use "just" as a humility signifier rather than literally meaning "only." I am just a man who is on the online I make mistakes. Sorry. Also, I just realized that there's the Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch, but there's no Executive Branch because Aimless Renegade is dead. :( Only with al...

Yeah, that's me. I don't see how your meta is incompatible with the guy preferring to eat books instead of reading them. He can dream of a democratic future, but making up new forms of governance is hard. Super fucking hard. I couldn't do it. Most charitably, the four kingdoms were already called ki...

Caliborn calls her fat and y'all think "oh he's just saying that to make her feel insecure" as if caliborn knows what lying is. I generally assume that dreamselves look the same as real selves, except Jade's because hers sometimes has arms. It's just you in a dream world. "Dream" has a positive conn...

Wayward Vagabond is there? *repatreons* Well, I guess it would make sense for the Mayor to be dead if he stayed behind. The exposition also functions as characterization of PM and WV in my mind. It's pretty funny that the quarters are called Kingdoms despite the Mayor's distaste for kings. I guess t...
