Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

I really feel like a manual server type-in section thing would be the most sustainable in this case. That way new versions of the program don't need to be distributed just to access servers that may or may not even be around tomorrow. Maybe with a list of previously (and successfully) accessed serve...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

Thankfully you won't need to do anything special, from what I can tell, it can find the old files just fine. I'd suggest making a desktop shortcut of the new launcher though. Managed to get booted off the server when it was turned off tonight, gonna miss being on the mindfang server. It was nice whi...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

linked to this earlier, an updated version of pesterchum with an alternate server to connect to. It was updated literally 3 hours ago so it's probably safe to say that it's still being actively supported.

Profiles are stored locally in appdata, you just gotta move a profile from one to the other to get your setting imported. https://i.imgur.com/d88u88S.png As for potential lock-outs, are you signed in simultaneously on another computer? because only one instance of a handle can be online at a time. Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

I'm surprised that this hasn't been mentioned here yet: https://github.com/Dpeta/pesterchum-alt-servers/releases It appears to be a recently updated version of pesterchum with a couple new server options, and some much-needed quality-of-life features, including easier access to chanserv and auto-log...

Re: HS^2 Update

it seems to be an ongoing Thing in candy that our dear heir of breath isn't always taking all the actions available. Seeing That House, just like the one that Dad had at the beginning, I never realized how much it would hurt to see it burn to the ground. The dramatic lighting, it reminds me a lot of...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

It was fun while it lasted, at least. I'm hoping somebody can make a more stable and less FOMO-inducing successor one day. For now though, I suppose discord is always there, with many more quality-of-life features, but I will miss the sheer explorability factor, the colored text, the regex-powered a...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

At this point I just want an actual tech support person to show up to this forsaken thread because these issues are entirely beyond my expertise and I'm tired of feeling like I'm obligated to fix them.

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

Junkguy, I've given the possible answers that I know, I can't figure out anything further than that. Sassmaster, here's a link to a python script that can be used for gradient quirks: https://pastebin.com/wnSAu9iU Do note it might be kinda difficult to install but it should have enough instructions ...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

Have you checked the icons over in the corner? If you see a pesterchum icon there, then its still open through that. Click it to make the window appear. You can only exit that instance via Exit in the menu. Do note that different themes can have different icons.

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

Okay, let's start from the beginning. What OS do you have? Did you grab the right download for your operating system? Did you remember to unzip any zip files? What does it look like in the task manager or similar equivalent when you try to open it? As for the person who can't seem to connect, this i...

I'm stumped on your issue, unfortunately. If I had an answer I would have posted it.
Sorry about that.

Re: Is it possible to add images outside boundaries, and if so how? (coding)

When it comes to meta-shenanegans like that, it helps to think a little bit, ahem, out of the box. You'll likely need to define an invisible box larger than the panel area. This will involve div stuff. From here, you can either do a pre-baked solution, or a piecemeal solution. the latter tends to be...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

There's a good chance that you're already logged in. It is possible to run multiple instances of pesterchum at once and they will hide with the icons until you actually select the option to exit. Click the icon and the window with your chumroll should appear again. If you need to check though, try p...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

I managed to slam together a quick profile file for you. You'll need to change the settings back to your preferences but it should hopefully allow the program to work once its placed in the requested profile section.

Let me know if it works out!

Okay, first of all, what's your operating system and what version of Glimpse are you using?
Are there any debug logs you can find? Or some kinda debug mode to check what might be going on?

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

Looking it up, it looks like it might be a socket error or something? Possibly related to a slow proxy server? Check what your firewall might be complaining about. If you're using windows, maybe try this?: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/191143/10060-connection-timed-out-error-with-proxy-se...

Re: PESTERCHUM 3.41: The ride never stops edition

Honestly I wish there was a better contact/correspondence infrastructure. Usually the best thing to do nowadays is to either join a large memo or do all networking outside of Pesterchum before using it. Having your own memo with an informative entry message might help, but it may prove to be impossi...

Holy shit, this actually makes sense! And here I thought that gamzee finally dying was a sign that the candy timeline had gone so far off the rails that previously airtight rules had begun to unravel towards jumping the shark + gamzee previously had juggalo invincibility (there's an ICP song about v...
