Why should it be their job and source of income? Hussie has said that anyone who wants to continue Homestuck can, so nobody really owes them a thing.

I read about this Homestuck guy who saw a bunch of this green shampoo/slime on sale, and bought all of it then bathed in it and immediately realized what a bad idea having a tub full of green slime was.

I think it's hard to really say who is the worst character. Caliborn is undoubtedly the most evil, but I think he's more comparable to a rabid animal that needs to be put down.
