Re: JUNE EGBERT IS EPIC AND DANCES ON THE GRAVE OF CANON
It is my personal opinion that anyone who wishes to see any character as anything will be able to, given enough mental effort. That John happens to have a convenient arc for it only made matters easier.

Re: What Was Your First Upd8, and How Do You Feel Your Point of Entry Has Influenced Your View on the Comic?
My first upd8 was Cascade, but I wasn't caught up with the comic at the time it came out. Because I joined pre-retcon, I harbored and still kind of harbor a big grudge towards it. I always viewed its effects as a poor decision, which doubtlessly were intentional. But, oddly enough, I didn't have the...

I'll tell you, that Vriska Serket is one son of a bitch! She broke into MY house, punched MY child, laughed at MY wife, and kicked the front door down for shits 'n giggles, and then just STOLE my lawn mower, and I was like "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" and she was like "Well I just can't help being a t...

Scut that feed in deep ocean environments are more successful due to a lack of predators but (comparative) abundance of microorganisms to filterfeed on and due to the fact that the darkness masks them. Because the depths of the ocean are so dark, there's no need for pigmentation - because of this, S...

Re: Pokemon Sword and Shield looks like a shitshow
I feel bad for Pokemon fans, because they get to watch fans of other Nintendo series get everything they wanted (Metroid Prime 4??? Holy shit? Smash Ultimate, all characters? Breath of the Wild WITH a sequel? Odyssey?) and then they get this.

Re: Videogame OST Appreciation Thread
Nobody has brought up Touhou yet? This series' soundtracks dating back to the 90's literally inspired Toby Fox. Here are a few I like, to most recent, to relatively modern, to PC-98 era: https://youtu.be/3EVKkCO5UJw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWOP5XNN12M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dHMVmh...

Guilty pleasures
Talk about your guilty pleasures, anything ranging from interests to hobbies that you are too embarrassed to admit in public.
Follow the rules of the forum of course, this isn't the place to talk about your secret kinks.
This is also not an invitation to talk shit about what people like.

Re: MSPAF Memory Lane - "A thread to reminisce what was lost"
I remember the roleplays. That's a lot of good writing and good characters that were lost, but I think some people are probably happy, since that's also a LOT of bad childhood memories gone in a snap of a finger.

I have three favorites, Chahut, the Soleil twins, and Chixie. Surprisingly, I'm not actually a big fan of the purpleblood caste in general.

Re: Favorite [S] Page?
Besides the obvious, I actually really like [S] Rose and Dave: Shut up and Jam because it was one of the first times that I was like "wow, the Homestuck 'soundtrack' is pretty good actually!" and that left a pretty big impression on me. I still listen to Unsheath'd pretty regularly.

Re: THE DIRKCOURSE THREAD
Hal deserved better than fusing with Equius and from there becoming a part of Doc Scratch/Lord English. Hal is the best iteration of Dirk out of all the splinters. ARquius is one of the best things that happened in all of Homestuck. I love Hal and Equius, but ARquius is truly greater than the sum o...

Re: Classpect discussion
I've been into Classpect for an horrendously long time, back since BladekindEyewear was the Classpect theorist, and when Inversion was the main point of discussion. I've developed some theories of my own, but most of what I've done has been subscribe to other people's theories. A lot of old Classpec...
Re: Katnep
You can't handle the truth. I can't help but feel like most Katnep worshippers are just people who self-insert as karkat and waifu nepeta. 1. Probably a rude way to word any of this, in general. Not that there's any problem with criticizing a ship, just, you know, emotionally important for some ind...

Re: Redemption.
I enjoy the idea of a redemption arc because it teaches you that someone no matter how bad can become a good person if they try (and also have consequences for their actions). However, I think there are good ways to write a redemption arc and there are bad ones. As someone who had a very poor conduc...

Re: Wayward Vagabond (The Mayor) Appreciation Thread
I desperately needed WV to do something as cool as the Battlefield revolution again, but it never happened :(
Still, I'm pretty sure he's one of the luckiest Homestuck characters (besides PM, who I think literally never died), which is good.
